COMPRESSOR
The Compressor increases the pressure of the refrigerant within the system for movement through the Condenser and Evaporator.
It separates the low pressure as well as the high pressure side of the A/C System.
To create high pressure, the Compressor utilizes either pistons or a scroll compression concept to draw refrigerant through a suction valve and force it out through the discharge valve.

The SD5 and SD7 Compressor series utilizes a time-proven wobble-plate drive mechanism, which positions all moving parts in the smallest possible package around the Compressor’s longitudinal axis for the greatest mechanical efficiency.

Rotary Scroll Compressor
This Compressor uses a unique design with two scrolls, one is fixed and the other is movable, both inter-locked.
This gives continuous compression allowing operation at very high speeds, whilst maintaining a compact size and high volumetric efficiency.

Variable Displacement Compressor
The Variable Capacity Piston Compressor (SDV) was developed to meet the current and future needs of car manufacturers.
The compressor displacement is varied by changing the angle of the cam, which in turn controls the refrigeration capacity to meet air-conditioning demands at all operating conditions.
Once cabin temperature approaches desired temperature, the Compressor can afford to reduce its capacity. This avoids clutch cycling and maintains a constant lower outlet temperature.

Transport Refrigeration Compressor
Developed to handle R404a refrigerant, Sanden R404a Compressors are capable of meeting all transport refrigeration requirements.
This wobble-plate Compressor has an improved lip seal, strengthened planet plate and pistons to work in a R404a environment.
The Sanden R404a range of Compressors have a “flex” type hose connections, suitable for almost any configuration.
